Children Beyond Borders is Indigenous-led and grounded in the pluriverse. We are building a movement that centres Indigenous knowledge, creativity, and resistance.

We invite Indigenous people worldwide, young and old, artists and researchers, storytellers and advocates to join us as volunteers.

🌏 Volunteer Roles

1. Storytelling & Truthtelling Volunteers
We invite Indigenous writers, filmmakers, artists, and community members to share stories that centre children’s rights and lived experience. This role is about amplifying voices, honouring cultural protocols, and making sure our narratives belong to us.

2. Cultural Knowledge & Guidance Volunteers
This role is for Elders, community leaders, and knowledge holders who wish to guide our campaigns. Your wisdom ensures Children Beyond Borders remains grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing, resisting one-size-fits-all Western frameworks.

3. Research & Knowledge Exchange Assistants
Perfect for Indigenous students, researchers, and critical thinkers. Support us by blending Indigenous knowledge with global policy discussions. You’ll help transform academic language into accessible insights for communities.

4. Advocacy & Campaign Builders
For Indigenous activists and changemakers ready to take action. Work with us on petitions, statements, and campaigns that fight for Indigenous children’s rights, truth-telling, and justice across borders.

5. Digital Media & Creative Volunteers
Bring your creative energy to the movement. Whether you design graphics, make TikToks, write poetry, or record music, your art will help carry our messages across communities and generations.

6. Youth Leadership & Mentorship Volunteers
A space for Indigenous youth (16–30) to build leadership skills, mentor each other, and imagine new futures. Your voice, energy, and vision are at the heart of our work.

7. Events & Community Engagement Volunteers
Support our yarning circles, community gatherings, and online panels. Help coordinate, host, and create safe spaces for connection and exchange.

8. Fundraising & Events Management Volunteers
Indigenous organisers and creative thinkers can help sustain and grow Children Beyond Borders. Plan fundraising initiatives, manage events, build partnerships, and ensure our work continues for children and families across borders.

9. Wellbeing & Support Volunteers
This role focuses on care and community. Whether through check-ins, healing practices, or peer support, you’ll help nurture the wellbeing of our volunteers and the children and families we work alongside.
